Ferris State Women's Soccer Hosts GLIAC Semifinals/Finals For First Time This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - For the first time in school history, the Ferris State University women's soccer program will host the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Semifinals and Finals this coming weekend at the Bulldog Soccer Field in Big Rapids.

The #1 seeded Bulldogs, who are currently ranked 11th in the country, will host #4 seed and reigning national champion Grand Valley State in the first semifinal game on Friday (April 30) with kickoff set for 12 p.m. (ET) in Big Rapids.

The second semifinal will begin at 3:30 p.m. (ET) on the FSU campus and pit #2 seed Ashland against #3 seed Northern Michigan.

The winners of the two semifinal games will then square off in the GLIAC Tournament Championship game on Sunday (May 2) starting at 1 p.m. (ET).

A free live video webcast along with a play-by-play broadcast will be provided at FerrisStateBulldogs.com (see direct link below). Rob Bentley and Sandy Gholston will provide the play-by-play coverage with pregame starting approximately 15 minutes prior to the start of each game. Additionally, live internet statistics will also be available for each contest.

Admission will be free for all games and limited to the first 250 spectators for each game. Fans will be required to wear masks and maintain appropriate social distancing outside of their own households.

All fans will also be required to provide a phone number and general information at the gate for contact tracing purposes. All seating will be on the west side of the field and the east side of the facility will be closed for team access only. Anyone not complying with these protocols will be asked to leave the premises.
