Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team opened action on Friday (Oct. 4) at the 2013 Warhawk/Panther Tennis Tournament in Whitewater, Wis.

The number two pairing of Gabby Demchenko and Janie Sell recorded a 1-2 mark at the #2 doubles draw as they picked up a win in consolation play after falling in the first round.

Finally, in #3 doubles draw action, the Bulldogs combination of Jessica Wilcox and Sydney Berens dropped a pair of 8-3 decisions.  FSU's Rebecca Beloungea teamed up with Christina Alvarez of Northern Illinois and the duo won the consolation round as they came back for two wins after suffering a first-round loss.
