Bulldog Women's Tennis Drops GLIAC Tourney Opener To Northwood

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team opened action in the 2013 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Championships on Friday (Oct. 25) night at the Midland Community Tennis Center, but suffered a 5-0 setback to top-seeded Northwood in Midland, Mich.

The Timberwolves won all three doubles flights against the eighth-seeded Bulldogs and clinched the win with a pair of triumphs in singles action to advance to the semifinals.

With the loss, the Bulldogs will next face Walsh on Saturday (Oct. 26) in the consolation round starting at 3:45 p.m. (ET).  The final round takes place on Sunday (Oct. 27) beginning at 8:30 a.m. (ET) in Midland.

FSU dropped to 7-8 overall with the loss while Northwood improved to 15-0 overall this season.
