Ferris State Women's Tennis Win Streak Snapped In Road Setback At Tiffin

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team's four-match win streak was halted on Sunday (Oct. 9) as the Bulldogs suffered an 8-1 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) setback to the Tiffin Dragons in Tiffin, Ohio.

The host Dragons swept the doubles round against FSU and then captured the top five singles flights en route to the win over the Bulldogs.

Ferris State, which had won each of its previous four outings by identical 5-4 scores this campaign, dropped to 5-3 overall and in the GLIAC to date.

The Bulldogs' lone victory came at six singles where Nicole Stay posted a 6-0, 6-2 triumph. Two of FSU's singles setbacks were in three-set decisions.

Tiffin improved to 9-1 overall and 6-1 in the GLIAC with the victory over the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs return home to play their final three regular-season league matches at FSU's Racquet and Fitness Center. FSU next hosts Ashland next Saturday (Oct. 15) before battling Walsh at home on Sunday (Oct. 16). Both matches get underway at 10 a.m. (ET).
