Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis team played its final scheduled regular-season match of the 2016-17 season on Tuesday (April 4) evening, falling to Davenport in non-league play at the Riverview Club in Grand Rapids.

The host Panthers jumped in front of the Bulldogs 2-1 following the doubles round as FSU's lone triumph in tandem play came from Nika Hein and Nicole Meylor at the number one flight by a 9-7 score.

In singles action, Davenport managed to claim four of the six positions, beating FSU at both the first and second flights along with the fifth and sixth spots at the bottom of the order.
