Ferris State Drops GLIAC Tennis Match To Wayne State

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad returned to action on Saturday (Oct. 13), but fell short 6-1 to Wayne State in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Warriors took two of three doubles flights to score the point and then won the top five singles flights in beating the Bulldogs in league play.

FSU got a doubles win from the tandem of Sam Stephenson and Nicole Meylor by a 6-3 score at the third flight in the lineup.

Meylor also was a winner in singles play with a 6-3, 6-3 triumph over WSU's Brianna Douglas at six singles.

Ferris State returns to action on Sunday (Oct. 14) against Ashland starting at 10 a.m. (ET) inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.
