Bulldog Women's Tennis Posts Shutout Victory Over Walsh In Regional Action

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's tennis squad posted its second consecutive victory as the Bulldogs shutout Walsh 7-0 in regional action on Friday (Feb. 19) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldogs took the doubles point with convincing wins at all three flights in the lineup and then swept the doubles round.

Ferris State received straight-set wins in singles action at four of the six positions along with winning at both two and three singles in three-set fashion.

With the win, the Bulldogs are now 2-3 overall and 2-0 against regional D2 competition this year. All three setbacks came against NCAA Division I opponents.

Ferris State will next take on Hope College on the road on Saturday, Feb. 27, with match time set for 3 p.m. (ET) in Holland, Mich.
