Bulldog Tennis Teams Drop Regular-Season Finales To Wayne State

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads closed out regular-season play with a pair of setbacks to Wayne State in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play on Friday (April 18) in Detroit.

The Bulldog men suffered a 5-2 setback to the Warriors while the women dropped a 7-0 decision in a battle of two of the league's top overall programs.

WSU claimed the doubles point in the women's match and went on to win the six singles flights in the sweep.

In the men's contest, Ferris State also dropped the doubles point. FSU did get two singles wins, though, from Alessandro Santangelo at the second spot in the lineup and Felipe Iser at four singles.

The women finished regular-season play with an 11-7 overall record and a 6-2 league mark. Meanwhile, the men closed the regular-season also holding an 11-7 record to go with a 5-2 showing in GLIAC play.

Ferris State will take part in the GLIAC Tournament set for April 25-27 in Midland.
