Bulldog Track Squads To Take Part In 2021 GLIAC Indoor Championships This Weekend

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's indoor track and field teams will take part in the 2021 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday and Sunday (Feb. 27-28) in University Center, Mich.

The annual league meet will be hosted by Saginaw Valley State University and take place inside the SVSU Fieldhouse.

The competition will feature student-athletes from 11 conference programs in one of the most highly anticipated NCAA Division II meets throughout the country.

Saginaw Valley State's facility features a 300-meter Beynon surface with six lanes on the oval and eight lanes on the straight away.

No spectators will be allowed due to COVID-19 protocols.

However, SVSU will provide a live stream of the meet on a pay-per-view basis via the GLIAC Championships website at the link below. The cost is $8.99 per day or $14.99 for a two-day pass. Live results will also be provided.

The meet will begin on Saturday with the women's pentathlon at 10:00 a.m., followed by the men's Heptathlon at 10:25 a.m. The field events will start at 3:30 p.m. while the running events will commence at 3:20 p.m.

The second and final day is on Sunday.

Scoring in the meet will be on a 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 for eight places for individuals and relay events.
