Ferris State Earns Road Victory & Clinches GLIAC South Division Championship

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State women's volleyball squad closed out an impressive weekend of road action with a 3-0 sweep over Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday (Nov. 6) in Kenosha, Wis.

The Bulldogs recorded their 16th-straight win and improved to 21-4 overall with the road victory at De Simone Gymnasium. FSU took the opening set 25-21, won the second frame 25-12 and sealed the win with a 25-16 victory in the third.

With the two road wins this weekend, the Bulldogs also clinched the GLIAC South Division Championship and currently own an 11-2 overall record with a single regular-season match remaining next weekend.

FSU was led by Olivia Henneman-Dallape, who tallied a team-high 10 kills in the victory. Both Keona Salesman and Claire Nowicki added eight kills each. 

On the defensive side, libero Nina Gorgijevska compiled 14 digs for FSU with setter Kaylee Maat adding 12 digs in addition to her 31 assists.

Ferris State posted a strong .381 attack figure for the match with 41 kills on 84 attempts. FSU also compiled 50 digs and recorded 10 block assists in addition to a solo block and five aces.

The Rangers were led by Jessica Pappas, who finished with seven kills. Parkside was held to a .069 attack figure and finished with 27 kills and 20 attack errors on 102 attempts. UWP also netted 31 digs with six aces and four block assists.

Ferris State will close out the regular-season on the road at Davenport on Saturday, Nov. 13, starting at 5 p.m. (ET).
