#5 Ferris State Volleyball Records Home Sweep Over Purdue Northwest

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State women's volleyball squad made relatively quick work of visiting Purdue Northwest on Saturday (Oct. 5) evening as FSU earned a 3-0 home sweep over the Pride in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play inside Bulldog Arena.

Ferris State recorded a 25-13, 25-16, 25-20 triumph for its second home win in as many days.

With the victory, the nation's fifth-ranked Bulldogs are now 14-0 overall and off to a 4-0 start in the GLIAC.

The Bulldogs tallied a .337 attack percentage on the night and finished with 40 kills to go with 45 digs, six block assists, five aces and two solo blocks.

For Ferris State, senior Olivia Henneman-Dallape again led FSU with a team-high 11 kills. Claire Nowicki recorded eight kills, Syann Fairfield added seven kills and Chelsie Freeman chipped in with six kills.

Bulldog senior setter Kaylee Matt totaled 23 assists and Hayley Wegener added 10 assists for FSU. The Bulldogs also got 14 digs from libero Leah Bylut and 10 by Emma Bleecher.

Purdue Northwest was held to a .155 attack figure and the Pride recorded only 30 kills with 31 digs, two aces and two block assists in the setback.

Ferris State will take on Davenport in GLIAC play on Tuesday (Oct. 8) evening with match time set for 6 p.m. (ET) in Caledonia.
