#4 Ferris State Volleyball Rolls To Road Sweep At Davenport To Stay Unbeaten

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's volleyball squad, which is ranked fourth in the nation, rolled to a 3-0 sweep over Davenport on Tuesday (Oct. 8) evening in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play at the DU Student Center in Caledonia.

The Bulldogs took a 25-12, 25-14, 25-19 win over the Panthers are are now 15-0 overall and off to a 7-0 start in GLIAC play.

Ferris State got off to a fast start in the West Michigan matchup and never looked back in securing the league road win.

Senior outside hitter Olivia Henneman-Dallape continued her stellar play with a team-leading 12 kills and a .458 attack percentage in the win. Additionally, both senior middle hitter Chelsie Freeman and junior middle hitter Syann Fairfield added seven kills apiece for FSU.

Senior setter Kaylee Maat finished the night with 24 assists for the Bulldogs and came up with six digs and two service aces overall. Junior Emma Bleecher led the way defensively with nine digs while senior libero Leah Bylut totaled seven digs. Along with Maat, senior Claire Nowicki also added six digs for FSU to go with four kills. Bleecher tallied two aces while Freeman totaled four blocks at the net with both Hannah Tecumseh and Fairfield contributing three blocks each.

FSU totaled a .333 hitting percentage and came up with 40 kills and only nine attack errors on 93 attempts. The Bulldogs had 47 digs and recorded 12 block assists with two solo blocks and five aces as a team.

On the opposite side, both Abby Alan and Karley Pretzer netted seven kills in leading DU. Mehl Hansen had 23 assists and seven digs while Alan added a squad-best nine digs to go with eight by Maggie Juncaj.

Ferris State returns home for a pair of league home encounters this weekend, hosting Saginaw Valley State on Friday (Oct. 11) evening at 6 p.m. (ET) inside Bulldog Arena before meeting Lake Superior State on Saturday (Oct. 12) for a 3 p.m. (ET) conference home tilt.
