#4 Ferris State Volleyball Registers Home Win Over Lake Superior State

Big Rapids, Mich. - The fourth-ranked Ferris State University volleyball squad made quick work of visiting Lake Superior State on Saturday (Oct. 12) afternoon as FSU scored a 3-0 sweep over the Lakers inside Bulldog Arena.

Ferris State improved to 17-0 overall and 9-0 atop the GLIAC with the win, capping off a weekend homestead with back-to-back victories.

The Bulldogs captured a 25-14, 25-18, 25-20 win over LSSU.

Both senior outside hitter Olivia Hennema-Dallape and junior middle hitter Syann Fairfield finished with 10 kills each for the Bulldogs. Senior middle hitter Chelsie Freeman added eight kills in the triumph.

Senior setter Kaylee Maat netted 30 assists while senior libero Leah Bylut totaled 12 digs and Emma Bleecher had 10 digs. Fairfield notched three block assists while Freeman and Claire Nowicki both had two each.

The Bulldogs netted 51 kills with 10 attack errors and a .410 attack percentage on 100 attempts. FSU also had 47 digs and came up with 10 block assists in addition to two aces.

Ferris State will take part in the Midwest Region Crossover next Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19, in Hammond, Ind.
