Ferris State Cross Country Returns To Action At Lansing CC Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's cross country squads sent selected student-athletes to the Lansing Community College Invitational held on Friday (Oct. 1) in Lansing.

The Bulldog women took eighth place overall while the men were 12th in a large field that included student-athletes from all levels of competition.

The men's team was led by Andrew Yaworski, who placed 42nd overall in the 8K race in a time of 28:22.9 overall. Logan Reimink was 46th (28:41.8) with Andrew Shafley 53rd (28:53.0) in leading the Bulldogs. Brendan Deneen finished 60th (29:11.2) with Luke Anderson 103rd (31:04.4) and Kevin Wilson 105th (31:06.8).

Meanwhile, in the women's race, FSU was paced by Lauryn Coleman in 36th place (20:52.0). Lauren Sinnaeve came in 43rd (21:07.2) with Paige Deitering 53rd (21:25.7) and Claudia Baryo 58th (21:37.5). Layla Creed finished 72nd (21:57.0) and Allissa Ash 80th (22:18.4) in leading the Bulldogs.

The Bulldogs will also have selected student-athletes competing on Saturday (Oct. 2) at the Greater Louisville Classic in Louisville, Ky.
