Big Rapids, Mich. - Fans not able to attend Saturday's (April 14) Crimson and Gold Spring Football Game at Ferris State University's Top Taggart Field can listen to a live online broadcast of the contest at www.FerrisStateBulldogs.com.

The Bulldog Sports Network will carry the live play-by-play action via an internet-only audio broadcast for the annual spring contest.  Pregame coverage will start at approximately 11:40 a.m. (ET) leading up to the 12 p.m. (EDT) kickoff.

The Ferris State football broadcast team of Rob Bentley (play-by-play) and Sandy Gholston (color commentary) will call the action from the Wheeler Pavilion Press Box at Top Taggart Field.  Scoring updates from the game will also be provided via FSU Athletics' official Twitter and Facebook pages.  A live chat function is also offered on the Bulldogs' multimedia portal.

The Crimson & Gold Spring Game will continue FSU's first official spring practice drills under new head coach Tony Annese.  The Bulldogs opened the spring workouts on March 23 and the slate includes a total of 15 workouts per NCAA regulations.

The spring game is tentatively slated to be played under normal game situations with special situational scoring points included. Saturday's contest will provide fans with an opportunity to watch the Bulldogs for the first time in a game-like situation under Coach Annese and his staff.

This year's Crimson & Gold Spring game will follow the annual "Big Event", which is an important citywide cleanup initiative that involves student organizations.  More than 1,000 students are expected to participate in the effort and help clean up nearly 300 residences in the community.

All workers will be invited to Top Taggart Field for the "The Big Event After Party" hosted by the Sports Communication program of the Humanities Department in the College of Arts & Sciences starting at approximately 11:30 a.m. (ET).

The post-event celebration will run in conjunction with the spring game and will include games, Turtle Tug hosted by Delta Zeta, free t-shirts to workers and more in addition to a meet and greet with the Bulldog Nation as FSU embarks on a new era of Ferris State Football.

Members of the Bulldog Football team will also participate in the "Big Event" cleanup effort prior to the annual spring game on Saturday.

The Big Event impacts hundreds of community members in the city of Big Rapids and its surrounding area. As the largest student-run community service effort in the nation, The Big Event is a one-of-a-kind volunteer effort that unifies the campus with the surrounding community in a showing of gratitude through philanthropy.
