Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance as a large crowd is expected for the West Michigan rivarly game.  The men's game will tipoff at 1 p.m. (ET) with the women's contest to follow at approximately 3 p.m. (ET).

A special halftime ceremony will take place during the men's game as Ferris holds its "1,000 Wins Celebration" to commemorate the program's 1,000th victory earlier this month.  All former players and staff have been invited back to campus.

Additionally, the Bulldogs will also recognize four men's senior players and three women's seniors during Senior Day activities prior to each contest as all seven play their final regular-season home games.

Saturday is also "Kidz Day" sponsored by Green's Sporting Goods with fun, exciting and free activities for kids, including an arts and crafts table, bounce house, face painting, photos with Brutus the Bulldog and more.  It is free to children in grades K-12 with a paid adult.

The Ferris State men's basketball team is currently ranked 21st in the nation and has won 12 consecutive games to date.  They are unbeaten inside Wink Arena (12-0) this season and clinched the GLIAC North Division Championship with an upset win over nationally third-ranked Findlay last Saturday (Feb. 19).

Earlier this year (Jan. 29), the Bulldog men pulled out a thrilling 79-72 overtime victory over the Lakers in the "131 Showdown" before a crowd of 5,863 fans at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.  The women's game was also close with GVSU winning 69-62 before more than 5,000 fans in the opening game of the twinbill.

Three of the four largest men's basketball crowds in Wink Arena history have came against GVSU, including a record 2,430 fans three years ago (2/23/08) and the second-largest crowd of 2,120 fans in 2007 (2/24/07).
