Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's tennis squads earned a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) home sweep over Davenport on Saturday (April 1) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The Bulldog men stayed unbeaten in GLIAC play with a 7-0 triumph over the Panthers while the women notched a 5-2 victory.

"It was such a fun day on the courts for Bulldog Tennis," said FSU head coach Mark Doren. "I'm very happy for the women's team, who snapped a losing streak against a good team. We again came out very hot in doubles and were able to convert that into some solid singles.

"For the men, we were able to avoid the dreaded trap match after a huge win last weekend and a big matchup next weekend with GVSU," he added. "A special shout out goes to Kacper Pasielak on getting this first college lineup spot and pulling out a third set win."

The FSU men's team claimed two of the three doubles flights for the first point of the match and went on to sweep the six singles flights, including five in straight-sets.

On the women's side, Ferris State took the top two doubles spots and four of the six singles positions overall, including the top three flights in the lineup.

Both Ferris State teams will face rival Grand Valley State on Saturday, April 8, at the Premier Athletic Club in Granville starting at 5 p.m. (ET).
