Selected FSU Track Student-Athletes Take Part In Prestigious Bison Classic At Bucknell

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's and women's outdoor track and field squads sent selected team members to the prestigious Bison Classic hosted by Bucknell University over the weekend on Saturday and Sunday (April 15-16) in Lewisburg, Pa.

The meet annually ranks as one of the country's best with student-athletes from all levels of competition in the field.

FSU's Brianna Copley was 11th in the discus (41.41m) and 18th in the shot put (12.06m). Nyah Tyron took 17th place in the 400 hurdles (1:04.92) and Rebecca Marvin came in 29th in the shot put (11.17m).

For the Ferris State men, Donis Harris placed 19th in the invite section of the 5,000 meters, clocking 14:27.85 overall.

Dan Hardesty placed 15th in the unseeded 1,500 meters (3:59.22) while Brandon Wirth took 25th place in the 3,000 steeplechase (9:28.38) and Brendan Cairney was 38th in the unseeded section of the 5,000 meters (15:41.33).

FSU's Kyle Droulliard also finished 23rd in the hammer throw (47.59m).

The Bulldogs will be back in action on April 21-22 at the Al Owens Classic hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale.
