Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University softball team opened up a six-game road swing with a non-league split on Tuesday (April 11) against the Ashland Eagles in Ohio.

FSU took the opening game by a score of 8-3 versus Ashland before falling 1-0 in a tightly-contested nightcap in regional play.

In game two, the Bulldogs were held to a single hit off the bat of catcher Kaitlyn Fick. Prince added a sacrifice in the setback.
