Ferris State Women's Golf Opens Season With Day One Play At UIndy Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team opened its 2023-24 season on Monday (Sept. 10) at the University of Indianapolis Invitational.

The Bulldogs shot a first-round 336 figure, but lowered their score by 14 strokes in the second round, shooting a 322 total. FSU is currently +82 overall and 15th in the field heading into Tuesday's final day of competition.

Sophomore Lizzie Anderson led the Bulldogs as she is currently tied for 42nd place overall with a 157 score. After shooting an 81 in the opening round, she came back with a 76 in round two.

FSU's Kamryn Shannon posted an 84 in the first round and followed with an 81 in the second round, which was good for a 165 figure after two rounds and a share of 69th place in the field.

The Bulldogs' Dani Staskowski placed tied for 74th on Monday with scores of 88 and 78 in rounds one and two, respectively, for a 166 score.

Ferris State's Morgan Seog is 85th overall after two rounds with a 171 total. She shot an 83 in the first round and an 88 in round two.

Additionally, Abby Grevel posted marks of 88 in the first round and 87 in the second for a 175 figure and a share of 86th place overall.

The Bulldogs' Taylor Musselman also competed as an individual and is also tied for 77th with a 168 score on rounds of 86 and 82, respectively.

Final round play is set for Tuesday in Indianapolis.
