Ferris State Women's Golf Wraps Up Opening Tourney Of Season In Indy

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team finished 14th overall as play wrapped up on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at the University of Indianapolis Fall Invitational in Indy.

The Bulldogs shot a final-round 315 figure, which was their best of the tournament, and finished with a 973 team total for the 54 holes of action. FSU had shot a 336 in round one followed by a 322 in round two before closing with the 315 score.

Individually, FSU was led by Kamryn Shannon, who finished tied for 42nd overall. She notched a final-round 70 score at two-under par to close with a 235 total. On Monday, she recorded scores of 84 and 81 in rounds one and two, respectively.

The Bulldogs' Lizzie Anderson finished tied for 56th with a 240 mark, notching an 83 in the last round after scores of 81 and 76 on Monday.

Meanwhile, Dani Staskowski placed tied for 64th with a 245 figure for the three rounds. She shot an 88 in round one followed by a 78 in round two and a 79 in the final round.

FSU's Taylor Musselman came in tied for 79th with a 254 score for the tournament, carding an 86 in the final round after scores of 86 and 82 in the opening two rounds.

The Bulldogs' Abby Grevel finished with a 258 total for 83rd place on the leaderboard. She shot an 83 over the final 18 holes after posting scores of 88 and 87 in rounds one and two, respectively.

Finally, Morgan Seog competed as an individual and placed 90th at 272 for the tourney, including a 101 in the final round. She had shot an 83 in round one and an 88 in round two.

The Bulldogs will next compete in the Gilda's Club Laker Invite hosted by Grand Valley State on Sept. 23 in Allendale.
