Ferris State Women's Golf Finishes Third At Home Lady Bulldog Fall Invite

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team wrapped up play in its own home tourney on Monday (Sept. 25), placing third overall at the Lady Bulldog Invitational at FSU's Katke Golf Course.

The Bulldogs finished the two-round event with a 615 team score at +39 for the 36 holes of competition. Grand Valley State took first place with a 602 figure followed by Wayne State at 605 in front of FSU.

A total of 11 schools competed in the two-day event on the par 72 course at Katke Golf Course.

FSU was paced by Kamryn Shannon, who placed tied for fifth overall and earned all-tournament team laurels with a 150 figure. She shot a 71 in round one on Sunday followed by a 79 in round two.

The Bulldogs' Abby Grevel carded a 152 score and placed tied for seventh in the field, notching a 75 in the opening round and a 77 in the second round.

Ferris State's Dani Staskowski recorded a 154 total for a share of 13th place with scores of 78 in round one and 76 in the second round.

Meanwhile, Lizzie Anderson came in tied for 22nd on the leaderboard with a 159 total. She shot a 79 in the opening round and closed with an 80 on Monday.

Additionally, Hallie Crozier also finished among the top 30 in a share of 29th place at 162 overall, posting back-to-back 81 totals each round.

Ferris State's Taylor Musselman competed as an individual and finished tied for 29th with a 162 score on rounds of 78 and 84 while Aspen Sugars wound up tied for 35th at 165, posting scores of 83 and 82 in rounds one and two, respectively.

Finally, the Bulldogs' Hope Thebo also competed individually and was tied for 54th with a 176 score. She shot an 86 and a 90 in the two rounds of competition.

The Bulldogs will next compete in the Findlay "Bing Beall" Fall Invitational on Oct. 2-3 in Findlay, Ohio.
