Bulldog Women's Golf Takes Third Place Overall At FIndianapolis Intercollegiate Event

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's golf team had another strong finish as the Bulldogs placed third overall in the "FIndianapolis" Intercollegiate event held Monday and Tuesday (April 1-2) at Chariot Run Golf Course in Laconia, Ind.

The Bulldogs shot a three-round 942 team figure, placing third at +78 for the 54 holes of action in the seven-team field. FSU shot a 313 in round one, a 303 in round two and a 326 in the third round in placing behind tourney champion Findlay (+7) and runner-up Indianapolis (+23).

Ferris State was led by Kamryn Shannon, who finished 10th on the leaderboard individually with a 229 figure. She shot a 77 in round one and back-to-back 76 scores to finish at +13 overall.

FSU's Lizzie Anderson tied for 12th with a 232 score on rounds of 77 and 75 followed by an 80 for the Bulldogs.

Meanwhile, Dani Staskowski placed tied for 18th at 238 overall, carding scores of 79 and 76 alongg with an 83 to finish +22 overall.

Ferris State's Hallie Crozier was 24th in the field at 244 or +28, shooting an 80 in round one followed by a 76 and an 88 in the final round.

The Bulldogs' Abby Grevel took a share of 25th overall at 246 or +30 for the event. She notched an 80 in the first round before carding a 79 in round two and a 87 in the last round.

FSU's Taylor Musselman also competed as an individual and tied or 14th overall with a 235 total (+19) on rounds of 79, 83 and 82 for the 54 holes.

The Bulldogs will next take part in the NC4K Classic on April 8-9 in Grove City, Ohio. The GLIAC Women's Golf Championships then take place on April 19-21 in Augusta, Mich.
