Women's Track & Field Returns To Competition At GVSU Snowdown Showdown

Big Rapids, Mich. - Selected members of the Ferris State University women's indoor track and field team competed on Friday (Feb. 4) afternoon at the Snowdown Showdown hosted by Grand Valley State in Allendale.

The Bulldogs finished with four top-seven efforts in the event, which featured participants from several schools at different levels, including Division I student-athletes.

Ferris State's Emma Stephayn placed third overall in the weight throw (48-3.5) with Claudia Wilkinson taking third in the high jump (5-0.5). FSU's Brianna Copley was seventh in the shot put (43-4.5).

The Bulldogs also took sixth place in the 4x400-meter relay as the tandem of Makayla Roberts, Hanna Brock, Sydney Kubiak and Danae Feldpausch clocking 4:25.53 overall.

Both the Ferris State men's and women's teams are slated to return to Allendale next weekend for a pair of competitions as GVSU hosts the Friday Big Meet on Feb. 11 and the Saturday Big Meet on Feb. 12.
