Big Rapids, Mich. - Two Ferris State University women's tennis players, juniors Amy Ingle (Battle Creek/Hastings) and Tiffany Rheynard (Kalamazoo/Gull Lake), recently capped the fall season by earning All-Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) recognition.

Ingle was one of nine players tabbed to the All-GLIAC First Team while Rheynard was among 12 honorable mention honorees in voting conducted by the league's head coaches.

Northwood's Darina Berkova was recognized as the GLIAC Player of the Year with teammate Svenja Stephan claiming Freshman of the Year laurels and Findlay head coach Tomas Menec chosen as the league's Coach of the Year Award recipient.

Ingle and Rheynard guided the Bulldogs to a fifth-place performance at the 2009 GLIAC Tournament (Oct. 24-25) held in East Lansing.  FSU wrapped up the fall campaign with a 7-5 overall mark and placed tied for fifth with a 5-4 league record.

The 5-4 Ingle, who  previously attained All-GLIAC Second Team kudos in 2008-09, recorded a 8-4 overall singles record and was 5-6 in doubles play this fall. She won six of her nine GLIAC matches at the number one flight in the FSU lineup. Meanwhile, she registered a 5-3 league doubles record in dual action at the top spot in the lineup while pairing with Rheynard. Currently, Ingle owns a 31-27 career singles ledger and is 25-32 in doubles action during her Bulldog career to date.

Meanwhile, Rheynard finished 4-7 overall at the number two position in the singles lineup for the fall season.  She was also 5-6 in doubles play while teaming with Ingle for all 11 encounters.  Rheynard posted a 4-5 league singles record at the second spot and owns career marks of 19-23 overall in both singles and doubles competition to date in her career.

The Bulldogs are tenatively slated to open up the spring season on Feb. 20 with a non-league home encounter versus Lewis (Ill.) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids.  Match time is set for 10 a.m. (ET).
