FSU Still Seeking Volunteers For GLIAC Meet

FSU Still Seeking Volunteers For GLIAC Meet

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University is hosting the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Outdoor Track and Field Championships on May 5-7 at Top Taggart Field and is still actively seeking volunteers to help stage this meet.

As an incentive, FSU Athletics will provide free home hockey tickets for next season (three games of your choice with the exception of the Michigan and MSU contests) or a free season pass for football, basketball and volleyball ($100 value) for anyone who is able to work two shifts during the meet.

Volunteers do not need track and field experience - just a smile and willingness to learn.

The various shifts are listed below:

Wednesday, May 5, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
Wednesday, May 5, 3:30-6:30 p.m.

Thursday, May 6, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 6, 12:30-4:30 p.m.
Thursday, May 6, 2 p.m.-8:30 p.m. (counts as 2 shifts)
Thursday, May 6, 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Friday, May 7, 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Friday, May 7, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Friday, May 7, 12-4 p.m.

Volunteers are especially needed for the 12:30-4:30 p.m. shift on Thursday along with the shifts held all day on Friday.
