Football
The Bulldogs take on rival Grand Valley State this Saturday in the Anchor-Bone Classic at Lubbers Stadium in Allendale. Kickoff is at 3 pm. GVSU is ranked first & FSU third in the AFCA D2 poll. The Bulldogs are coming off a 51-13 home win over Michigan Tech and own a 6-1 overall record to date this year. Both teams are also 3-0 in the GLIAC. Saturday's game can be heard live on Sunny 97.3 FM & FerrisStateBulldogs.com. It will also be streamed on FloSports & televised on WXSP-TV in Grand Rapids ..... Junior quarterback Trinidad Chambliss was chosen as this week's D2Football.com National Offensive Player of the Week and was also named the GLIAC Football Offensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive time and fourth time overall this year.
 
Hockey
Ferris State opens CCHA play at home this weekend, hosting Bemidji State on both Friday and Saturday night. The Bulldogs are coming off a non-league road split at St. Lawrence (N.Y.) last week, which included a 1-0 shutout victory in the opener. This Friday will be Halloween Night with fans encouraged to wear their costumes for the themed game. Saturday will be Kids Night and all kids ages 12 and under will get in free. Parent tickets are only $10 when purchased in person at the FSU Ticket Office.
 
Volleyball
Ferris State moved up to #2 nationally this week in the AVCA D2 National Rankings, which represents the second-highest showing in program history. The Bulldogs are currently a nation-best 20-0 overall this year and unbeaten atop the GLIAC standings. Ferris State won all three of its matches at last week's Midwest Region Crossover in Indiana. The Bulldogs host Davenport on Thursday evening at 6 pm before traveling to Roosevelt on Friday for an evening match.
 
Soccer
Ferris State is coming off a 2-0 home shutout victory over Michigan Tech this past Sunday at the Bulldog Soccer Field. FSU rebounded from its Friday setback to Northern Michigan, defeating the Huskies for the second time this year. Presently, the Bulldogs are third in the GLIAC standings. Ferris State visits Davenport on Friday afternoon and will return home on Sunday to host Grand Valley State at 1 pm.
 
Cross Country
The Bulldogs will play host to the GLIAC Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Katke Golf Course with the men's race slated for an 11 am ET start and the women's race to follow at approximately 11:45 am. The Bulldogs were off this past week and will host the league championships for the first time since 2016.
 
Men's & Women's Golf / Basketball
The FSU women's golf team  took 10th place overall in its final action of the fall season early this week at the Saint Leo Invitational in Florida. The men wrap up their fall season on Monday and Tuesday at the Bill Crabtree Invitational in Owensboro, Ky ..... The FSU men's basketball squad defeated Calvin University 83-69 on Tuesday night inside Jim Wink Arena as four Bulldog players reached double-figure scoring. Ferris State faces Michigan State next Tuesday (Oct. 29) at the Breslin Center in East Lansing in its final exhibition tilt. Both Bulldog teams open up regular-season play at the D2CCCA Tipoff Tournaments on Nov. 1-3 with the men in Canyon, Texas, and the women headed to St. Joseph, Mo.
