Ferris State University has announced no fans will be allowed for this Saturday's (March 20) GLIAC home volleyball match against the Northwood Timberwolves, which begins at 5 p.m. (ET).
The GLIAC approved a new fan and spectator policy for the spring sports season on Wednesday, giving each individual institution the ability to allow a limited number of fans and impose their own restrictions.
However, due to the current spacing inside FSU's home volleyball facility, the Ewigleben Sports Arena, and the requirement under GLIAC protocols to establish a 20-foot separation between the field of play and spectators, no fans will be allowed for Saturday's contest.
Planning is currently underway to move the April 2-3 home matches to FSU's Jim Wink Arena and allow four tickets per Bulldog volleyball student-athlete for those two remaining regular-season home contests against Saginaw Valley State.
