The Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) president's and chancellors approved a new policy for the spring sports season, allowing (based on each institution's ability to meet the required Gliac protocols) institutions a limit of up to a maximum of 375 fans at outdoor venues. Each institution can also impose greater restrictions if they desire or if they are unable to meet the protocols established by the Gliac.
In addition, institutions must establish a 20-foot separation between the field of play and spectators and all fans must wear masks and follow appropriate social distancing guidelines.
Based on the GLIAC protocols and the Bulldogs' facility setup, with games currently scheduled to be played on the turf field at the South Athletic Complex, a limited number of fans will be allowed for Ferris State home soccer games and all fan seating will be the west side of the turf field on the grass. The east side will be closed for team access only. Seating will be limited and all fans must remain off of the turf surface due to the proximity of the field of play.
Masks are required per Gliac and University guidelines and all fans should maintain a six-foot distance with anyone beyond their immediate household members. Anyone not complying with these protocols will be asked to leave the premises.
Additional information and details regarding Ferris State's fan policy will be announced in the near future as needed.
