Annual Red Out Events To Take Place At Upcoming FSU Home Contests

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University will partner with Corewell Health Big Rapids Hospital to support women's heart health over the next two weeks as the annual "Red Out" event takes place in conjunction with three different Bulldog home athletic contests inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex.

The first event will take place this Saturday (Feb. 15) evening as the Bulldog Hockey squad hosts Lake Superior State in its weekend home finale with puck drop set for 6:07 p.m. (ET). The red out will then transition to the court next Thursday (Feb. 20) with the FSU women's and men's basketball squads hosting Purdue Northwest at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. (ET), respectively, inside Jim Wink Arena.

All three athletic events will include opportunities to donate to the Corewell Health Big Rapids Women's Cardiac Unit, closing with a check presentation each evening. Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in a silent auction throughout the duration of the event with proceeds benefitting Corewell Health.

Participants of the event are also encouraged to wear red to bring awareness for women's heart health. Ferris' athletics teams will be wearing their red jerseys as well.

Ferris State's "Red Out" event is planned and orchestrated by the Sports Communication program and is a yearly tradition on the FSU Athletics calendar.

Tickets for all home athletic events can be purchased online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets.
