Longtime Partner Granger Construction To Be Presenting Sponsor Of Bulldog Athletics Hall Of Fame Event
Big Rapids, Mich. - Longtime Ferris State University partner Granger Construction, will be the presenting sponsor of the 2025 Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, which will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 27.
Granger Construction, which is headquartered in Michigan with offices in the Grand Rapids area, recently completed work on Ferris State's historic Alumni Building and last year earned industry honors for its work on Grand Rapids Community College's Secchia Piazza. The firm is also currently the construction manager for FSU's new ground-breaking residence hall being constructed next to the Bulldogs' Top Taggart Field.
Earlier this spring, the company also was the presenting sponsor of the Bulldogs' national championship parade in downtown Big Rapids.
"We're so appreciative of Granger Construction for their support of the Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame and this year's event," said Associate Athletics Director Rob Bentley, who helps lead the hall of fame committee. "This is going to be an awesome evening honoring so many Ferris State legends who have left a big impact on the university. We could not put on an event of this magnitude without the support of those like Granger Construction, which has played a big role over the years in shaping the landscape of the FSU campus."
Tickets for the hall of fame banquet are on sale now. A total of former Bulldog student-athletes and coaches representing nine different sports programs comprise the star-studded Ferris State University class.
The highly-decorated 2025 class, which will represent the school's 14th class of inductees, includes: Chad Billins (Hockey, 2008-12), Karla (Fairbanks) Griffin (Volleyball, 2001-04), Rachel (Folcik) McClure (Women's Basketball, 2004-08), Dan Hutcheson (Wrestling, 1989-93), Justin Keenan (Men's Basketball, 2007-11), Alan Morin (Men's Golf, 1989-91), Tina Muir (Women's Track & Field/Cross Country, 2008-12), Jeff Pierce (Football Athlete & Coach, 1974-2011), Rex Schuberg (Men's Track & Field, 1974-78) and Justin Zimmer (Football, 2011-15).
The Hall of Fame banquet will take place on Aug. 27 at Jim Wink Arena on the Ferris State campus inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. The event begins with a reception at 5 p.m. (ET) followed by a welcome and dinner starting at 6 p.m. (ET). The program and induction ceremony will follow at approximately 7 p.m. (ET). An optional tour of the Center for Athletics Performance will also be offered beginning at 4 p.m. (ET).

A 10-member Selection Committee comprised of faculty, staff, alumni and community members selected the 2025 inductees from a large group of initial nominees. The 10 individuals will become the newest members of a current Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame member group that presently includes 115 previous inductees along with one team.
This year's Hall of Fame event will take place the night prior to the Bulldogs' 2025 football home opener against Pittsburg State, which takes place on Thursday, Aug. 28, at Top Taggart Field.
The Bulldog Athletics Hall of Fame, which inducted its Charter Class in 2000, was established to honor those student-athletes and coaches who have distinguished themselves in their sport or honorary members who made truly exceptional contributions to athletics.
