Ferris State University Athletics announced a new partnership with Nutrition Force LLC and Dr. Kristi Chipman as the "Official Dietitian of Bulldog Athletics" in the spring of 2022.

As part of the new partnership, Nutrition Force LLC will provide dietary assistance to FSU's 17 athletics programs and nearly 400 student-athletes, working in conjunction with the FSU Sports Medicine Staff along with the FSU Strength and Conditioning program to enhance and advance the overall nutrition of Bulldog student-athletes.

"This is an outstanding partnership that puts the well-being and dietary needs of our student-athletes at the forefront," said FSU Athletics Director Steve Brockelbank. "This partnership, combined with the addition of our new Center for Athletics Performance this coming fall, will help provide our student-athletes and programs with additional resources as they continue to train for competition in a safe and healthy manner."

Nutrition Force LLC, which is based in Big Rapids, will provide consultation to teams and groups of student-athletes throughout the year. The company is owned by Dr. Chipman, who has been a registered dietitian nutritionist for 15 years.

"I am excited to be a part of the long standing excellence of Bulldog Athletics and am looking forward to helping athletes maximize their performance," said Chipman.

The partnership is the latest in a list of recent advancements made by Ferris State University and Bulldog Athletics to directly impact the overall development and well-being of student-athletes, which has also included the addition of a full-time strength and conditioning coach and an increased athletic training staff and medical support team in recent years.

This fall, the Bulldogs will also begin training in the new Center for Athletics Performance, which is currently being constructed as part of a renovation and expansion of the Ewigleben Sports Complex and the addition of the new Bulldog Arena as part of a major $15.3 million upgrade to FSU's athletic facilities. The upgrades will offer championship-caliber training and conditioning facilities to the Bulldogs' student-athletes and teams.
