Stephanie Shaw serves as the Bulldogs' Coordinator of Athletic Operations. She joined FSU in the summer of 2022 as the sports camps coordinator and operations assistant.

Shaw, who had spent the previous four years on the staff at Big Rapids High School as the Cardinals' assistant and secretary to the Athletic Director, helps oversee FSU's sports camps along with game operations while serving as part of the school's facilities staff.

"We're excited about what Stephanie brings to this position and look forward to continued growth in our operation with her on board," said Blashill. "She brings great familiarity with both our community and our needs and will be a tremendous asset to our staff."

During her time at Big Rapids High School, Shaw has played a key role in the coordination of events and operations under Athletic Director Dawn Thompson. She's served as a liaison with other athletic directors, coaches, game officials, student-athletes, teachers, parents and staff. Additionally, she's organized and scheduled both events and meetings while reserving appropriate facilities and staff.

As part of her role at BRHS, Shaw has trained and managed game managers and athletic staff while assisting student-athletes with concerns. She's also performed tasks related to ticket sales, officials' payments and the processing of reports and tournament fees

In addition to her time with the Cardinals, Shaw previously served last fall for the Bulldogs in a part-time capacity as the coordinator for game officials during Ferris State Football home contests at Top Taggart Field. She worked from 2014 to 2018 as a biological science technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service based in Ludington.

A graduate of Michigan State University, Shaw competed as a member of the Spartans' rowing team, helping MSU win the 2009 Big Ten Rowing Championship during her time as a NCAA scholarship athlete. She received her Bachelor's degree in Fisheries and Wildlife from MSU in 2012 as a Dean's List student and later earned a Master's degree in administration from Central Michigan University magna cum laude in 2017.

During her time at Michigan State, Shaw was an honoree at the Student-Athlete Support Services Spartan Academic Excellence Gala and was an undergraduate assistant volunteer rowing coach. She also worked as a varsity rowing regatta safety monitor at the Big Ten Rowing Championship and is a member of the Michigan State University Varsity Club.

Shaw, who began her duties at FSU earlier this week, resides in Big Rapids.
