Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men’s and women's basketball teams wrap up regular-season play with two Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) doubleheaders this week.

The Bulldogs will battle Northwood on Thursday, Feb. 25, in a league twinbill at Jim Wink Arena.  The women's game begins at 6 p.m. (EST) with the men's game to follow at approximately 8 p.m. (EST).

FSU then hosts Wayne State in the regular-season finale on Saturday, Feb. 27, with the women's game scheduled for a 1 p.m. (EST) start and the men's game slated to tipoff at 3 p.m. (EST).

Ferris students and fans will have chances to win prizes, scholarships and more on Saturday during "Operation Giveaway". Current FSU students are encouraged to come out and fill the stands on Saturday to receive a chance at one of ten $500 scholarships slated to be offered with the odds doubling by attending both the men's and women's games. Tons of other giveaways will also be awarded throughout the day and the first 500 fans will receive a rally towel.

Free transportation will be provided via charter bus from on-campus residence halls to Wink Arena during "Operation Giveway" and a new ping pong table will be given to the hall with the highest overall attendance at the event. The giveaways will also include free tanning packages for spring break, free lunches, twenty $10 gift cards courtesy of Buffalo Wild Wings, $300 worth of gift cards to be given away from Meijer and more. All fans in attendance will also receive a coupon for "Four Free Wings" compliments of Buffalo Wild Wings.

Additionally, the regular-season finale also represents Ferris' annual "Senior Day" encounter with this year's Bulldog basketball seniors honored between games. Local high school and youth teams have also been invited to attend as part of "Team Appreciation Day" for their support of the Bulldogs.

Both Ferris State women's games will be carried live locally via Bulldog Radio, which can be found on Charter TV Channel 21 in Mecosta County. Meanwhile, both men's contests will be aired live on WBRN 1460 AM & 107.7 FM.

In addition to the FSU broadcast coverage, a live audio and video pay-per-view webcast from B2 Networks will also be available for both contests in addition to live internet statistics and twitter scoring updates.  Please visit the official FSU Athletics Website homepage at www.ferrisstatebulldogs.com and click on the "upcoming events" tab in the schedule area for direct links to all available coverage.  Direct links are also provided below.

Tickets for both doubleheaders will be sold at the door starting one hour prior to the opening game. FSU students are admitted free with their student identification cards and encouraged to join the "Dawg Pound" student section for all home games. All children will also receive "free admission" with a paid adult on Saturday.

The Ferris State men's basketball team presently maintains a 14-11 overall record and is 12-8 in GLIAC action heading into this week's homestand. The Bulldogs have clinched their 11th overall GLIAC Tournament berth and could potentially host a quarterfinal-round home game next Tuesday (March 2) pending the outcome of this week's league contests.

This week's games represent the final two outings of the year for the Bulldog women's team.
