Ferris State Pulls Away Late For Home Court Win Over Lincoln (Pa.)

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad faced a stiff test on Sunday (Nov. 28), but the Bulldogs pulled away late for a 82-66 non-conference win over Lincoln (Pa.) at Jim Wink Arena.

The visiting Lions led by as many as seven points in the first half and held a 30-29 lead at the break before FSU responded by scoring 53 second-half points to take the win.

With the victory, FSU is now 5-1 overall and the win came in the Bulldogs' final outing prior to the start of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play this week.

Ferris State, ranked 14th nationally, got a double-double performance from senior big man Logan Ryan, who tallied a game-high 20 points and 11 rebounds.

The Bulldogs' Walt Kelser scored 17 points, all of which came in the second half, while senior forward Dorian Aluyi notched 13 points and sophomore guard Ben Davidson totaled 10 points in the triumph.

Ferris State forced 15 turnovers and came away with a 45-41 rebounding edge while outscoring the Lions 21-12 on the offensive glass by totaling 17 offensive rebounds.

Defensively, FSU also blocked eight shots and tallied eight steals while dishing out 27 assists on the offensive end.

The Bulldogs shot 43.8% for the game, but were above 51% in the second half. Overall, Ferris State went 11-of-27 (40.7%) from long range and seven-of-13 (53.8%) at the line.

The Lions were led by Zahrion Blue's team-high 17 points and 11 rebounds. Korey Williams added 14 points with Bernard Lightsey totaling 10 points in the setback.
