Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball squad notched a 94-72 win over visiting Lake Erie to close out the GLIAC/GMAC Regional Crossover with a perfect 2-0 mark on Saturday (Nov. 9) evening inside Jim Wink Arena.

After beating Northwood on Friday night in the weekend opener, the Bulldogs came back to beat Lake Erie in the four-team regional crossover that also included fellow GLIAC member Lake Superior State. FSU was the only team of the four to finish with a pair of wins in the event.

The Bulldogs shot 57% from the floor and made 11-of-27 (40.7%) three's in beating the Storm, who had topped LSSU in Friday's first game of the weekend.

Ferris State senior guard Ethan Erickson tallied a game-high 21 points in the triumph and the school's all-time career three-point leader hit five shots from the outside in leading the Bulldogs.

FSU also received 14 points from junior Tyler Hamilton along with 12 points by junior Mykel Bingham. Meanwhile, Nate Claerbaut came up with a double-double showing with 12 points and 11 rebounds in the victory while adding four blocked shots.

The Bulldogs pulled in front 52-39 at halftime and outscored Lake Erie 42-33 in the final half of play. FSU also limited Lake Erie to only 30.6% shooting with the Storm finishing nine-of-36 (25.0%) from behind the arc.

Ferris State did turn the ball over 19 times against the Storm's up tempo defensive pressure, but the Bulldogs also spread the ball well with 23 assists, including six each from Hamilton and senior guard Jimmy Scholler.

On the glass, Ferris State came up big with a 48-38 edge. The Bulldogs also had nine blocked shots overall and six steals in the game.

Lake Erie was led by Caleb Pike with 15 points on five-of-nine shooting from the outside. Derrick Anderson added 11 points.

Ferris State will host Lewis University in another regional matchup on Wednesday, Nov. 13, starting at 7 p.m. (ET) inside Jim Wink Arena.
