Ferris State To Honor Fall Championship Teams During Saturday's Home Basketball Doubleheader

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University Athletics will honor and recognize three fall championship teams for their success this Saturday (Jan. 28) during the Bulldogs' home men's and women's basketball contests against Northern Michigan at Jim Wink Arena.

The Bulldogs will honor both the women's volleyball and soccer teams during halftime of the women's basketball game against the Wildcats, which tips off at 1 p.m. (ET). FSU reached the NCAA Division II Women's Soccer Final Four for the first time in school history this past fall after winning the Midwest Regional Championship while the Bulldog volleyball team captured the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) regular season and tournament championships in addition to reaching the Midwest Regional final.

Additionally, during halftime of the 3 p.m. (ET) men's contest versus NMU, the Bulldogs will honor and recognize the NCAA Division II National Champion Bulldog Football squad, which captured a second-straight national title this past fall. NMU currently leads Ferris State by a single game atop the GLIAC in men's basketball action heading into this week's play.

The recognition of the fall sports squads is part of a busy weekend that begins on Thursday (Jan. 26) with both FSU teams hosting Michigan Tech at Wink Arena starting at 5:30 p.m. (ET) for the women and 7:30 p.m. (ET) for the men. The Bulldog Hockey team is also at home this week, entertaining nationally-ranked Minnesota State on both Friday and Saturday evenings at the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

Tickets for all events can be purchased online in advance at FerrisStateBulldogs.com/Tickets.

The Bulldogs were the only school in the country this fall to reach regional championship games in the three fall sports of football, volleyball and women's soccer. FSU completed back-to-back national championship runs in football, reached the D2 National Semifinals for the first time in women's soccer and advanced to the title match in the NCAA Midwest Regional in volleyball.
