Basketball
The Ferris State University men's and women's basketball squads both advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight last week and were the final two teams in the state of Michigan competing at any level in the NCAA Tournament. The women reached the national semifinals for the first time in school history and closed the year with a school all-time best 26-6 record along with a final number three national ranking. Meanwhile, the men's team advanced to the D2 Elite Eight for the third time in program history and finished with a 28-8 mark, recording the second-most wins in a single campaign in school history.

Softball
The Bulldog softball team will hit the road this weekend for a pair of league doubleheaders at Purdue Northwest on Saturday and at Parkside on Sunday. FSU then returns home for a rescheduled league twinbill against Wayne State on Tuesday at the FSU Softball Field. The Bulldogs split with top 10-ranked rival Grand Valley State at home last Friday before dropping two close games at Davenport on Saturday in conference play.

Men's & Women's Golf
The Bulldog men's and women's golf teams both had strong finishes early this week at the "FIndianapolis" Invitational in Laconia, Ind. The Bulldog men won the team championship in a six-team field with standout Caleb Bond earning individual medalist honors. Meanwhile, the women's team placed third in a seven-team field and Kamryn Shannon finished 10th individually. Both Bond and Shannon earned GLIAC Player of the Week accolades for their performances.

Men's & Women's Tennis
The Bulldog Tennis teams both had strong weeks as each team topped regional power Southwest Baptist at home last Wednesday before beating West Michigan archrival Grand Valley State on Saturday at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center. Both teams are currently 3-0 in league action. The women's team will next host Saginaw Valley State on April 13 while both squads then head to Detroit on April 14 for a pair of conference showdowns against Wayne State. The Bulldogs' Sophie Daavettila was tabbed as this week's GLIAC Player of the Week after FSU's Morgan Waller won the same distinction last week.

Track & Field
The Ferris State men's and women's outdoor track and field squads had a successful weekend at the Hilltopper Relays hosted by Western Kentucky University over the weekend (March 29-30) in Bowling Green, Ky. The Bulldogs competed in the event along with several schools including NCAA Division I host WKU and came away with a total of 30 top-eight meet finishes on the weekend, including a first-place performance and seven runner-up efforts. The Bulldogs are next in action on April 6 at the Golden Grizzly Invite in Rochester, Mich.
