One of Ferris State University's own is back in Big Rapids as Bulldog Football alum Jake Allan was appointed as the new general manager of corporate partnerships and ticket sales by Peak Sports MGMT.

The Bulldogs recently announced the new major partnership with Peak Sports, which will manage and sell all sponsorship inventory for Ferris State Athletics, including venue signage, program advertising, digital and web content, game sponsorships and special events, along with several other opportunities. In addition, Peak Sports will manage all outbound ticket sales, group sales, and premium hospitality.

As the general manager for the Bulldogs' account with Peak Sports, Allan will serve as a full-time staff member who will fully integrate himself with the university, athletic department, the Big Rapids community and beyond.

A Portage native, Allan competed for the Bulldogs in football as a tight end and long snapper from 2014-18. He served as the team's long snapper for four seasons, helping FSU to four consecutive NCAA Division II Playoff appearances, including a trip to the national championship game in 2018. The Bulldogs also captured three Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) titles during his playing career.

While attending Ferris State, Allan also served as a sales and marketing intern for the Bulldogs and spent time as an intern on the marketing and sales team with the Grand Rapids Drive of the NBA G-League. Since 2000, he's worked as a full-time member of the outside sales team with Staples in West Michigan. Allan earned a bachelor's degree in marketing from Ferris State in 2019.

The Bulldogs became only the fifth NCAA Division II institution to partner with Peak Sports, whose portfolio also includes more than 15 NCAA Division I schools, and the first in the state of Michigan or the Great Lakes and Upper Midwest regions. Ferris State is also one of only two partners with NCAA Division I men's ice hockey to ink with the company, which was founded in 2012 and focuses on FCS, mid-major and high-impact NCAA D2 schools.
