WBBL's The Michael Grey Show To Broadcast Live From Ferris State Athletics This Friday

Big Rapids, Mich. - Ferris State University students, alumni and fans will have a special opportunity to be part of a live radio show originating from the FSU campus and the Ewigleben Sports Complex during a busy home athletics week this Friday (Fb. 12) morning.

The Michael Grey Show, which can be heard on West Michigan's Sports Leader 107.3 WBBL FM in the Grand Rapids market, will broadcast live from the home of the Bulldogs on the Big Rapids campus from 6-9 a.m. (ET). The broadcast will take place in the main concourse area between the Ewigleben Ice Arena and Jim Wink Arena.

Students, fans and the general public are encouraged to come out for the live show, which will be making its fourth live appearance on the FSU campus following two previous live broadcasts from The Rock Cafe along with one from the new University Center building a year ago. Along with the live remote, fans will also have an opportunity to meet and interact with FSU coaches and staff.

Ferris State Hockey team, which has a current seven-game unbeaten streak heading into this weekend's home series against Northern Michigan. The show will also feature both the FSU women's basketball squad and the men's basketball team, which is 19-4 overall this campaign entering Thursday's twinbill versus Northwood and ranked among the top 25 teams in the country.

Along with the winter sports coverage, the show will also feature FSU's GLIAC Championship teams from the fall in Bulldog football and volleyball, which both have won back-to-back league titles and posted the best overall combined mark in the country this past fall at 44-4 overall. 

Tentative guests are expected to include Ferris State Athletics Director Perk Weisenburger, head men's basketball coach Andy Bronkema along with women's basketball head coach Kendra Faustin and two-time NCAA Division I Hockey National Coach of the Year Bob Daniels. FSU volleyball head coach Tia Brandel-Wilhelm and football head coach Tony Annese, who both claimed GLIAC and regional Coach of the Year accolades this past fall, will also be featured among others.

The Michael Grey Show airs weekly Monday thru Friday on WBBL and can also be heard live online at www.wbbl.com.  It is the only local morning sports talk show in West Michigan. Host Michael Grey Michael Grey is an 18-year radio veteran who started his career in West Michigan and has also spent time at ESPN Omaha and ESPN Seattle. 

In addition, the show is co-hosted by Brett Kane, who hails from Omaha and played college baseball at The University of Nebraska-Omaha.
