Ferris State Men's Basketball Ranked In Top 20 In Two National Polls This Week

Big Rapids, Mich. - After one of the nation's best starts this year, the Ferris State University men's basketball squad has received acclaim by being ranked among the country's top 20 teams in two different Division II national polls this week.

The Bulldogs, who are a nation-leading 7-0 to date this season, are currently ranked 19th in the country in the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division II Top 25 poll.

In addition, FSU is presently listed 11th this week in the Division II Sports Information Directors of America (D2SIDA) National Rankings.

Ferris State totaled 90 points in the NABC poll and is listed fourth of five teams from the Midwest Region in the poll along with third-ranked Bellarmine (Ky.), 13th-ranked Southern Indiana, #15 Ashland and Indianapolis, which is ranked 22nd overall.

In the D2SIDA listing, Ferris State is the second-highest among the Midwest Region squads with Bellarmine third in front of FSU. Southern Indiana is listed 15th in the poll with Walsh ranked 25th.

Ferris State continues regional action and its 10-game homestand by hosting Hillsdale on Wednesday, Nov. 20, starting at 7:30 p.m. (ET) inside Wink Arena. FSU then hosts Lewis (Ill.) on Saturday (Nov. 23) beginning at 2 p.m. (ET).
