Men's Basketball To Celebrate Elite Season At Annual Postseason Banquet On April 21

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's basketball program will celebrate an elite season as the Bulldogs hold the annual David Steenstra Championship Men's Basketball Banquet on Sunday, April 21, on the FSU campus.

The event will take place inside the David L. Eisler Center and run from 12:30 to approximately 4:30 p.m. (ET). The cost is only $20 per person.

The day will begin with a meet and greet, including appetizers, from 12:30 to 1 p.m. followed by dinner and the program. The day will include a celebration of the 2023-24 squad that claimed the Midwest Regional Championship and advanced to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight.

As part of the celebration of this year's team, FSU head coach Andy Bronkema will review the highlights of the season and present individual recognitions and awards. The highlight of the banquet will include interviews with this year's six-member senior class.

To register for the event, please fill out the attached form and return to Coach Bronkema by Monday, April 17. Checks can be made payable to Ferris State men's basketball and returned to bronkea@ferris.edu.

The Bulldogs, who won both the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Tournament Championship and the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional title, closed the year with a 28-8 overall record, notching a share of the second-most wins in program history.

Ferris State made its first trip to the D2 Elite Eight in six years with the last coming in 2018 when FSU captured its first NCAA D2 National Championship. This year's appearance in the Elite Eight was the Bulldogs' third overall in program history.
