Big Rapids, Mich. - The nationally-ranked Ferris State University men's ice hockey team returns home to the Ewigleben Ice Arena this weekend in a quest to claim the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) Regular-Season Championship and tickets are currently on sale now.

The Bulldogs, who are tied atop the WCHA standings with Minnesota State heading into the final weekend of regular-season action, host Lake Superior State in a two-game set on Friday and Saturday (March 7-8) evenings starting at 7:07 p.m. (ET). Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to save and ensure a seat while cheering on the Bulldogs as they attempt to win the league crown in their inaugural season in the WCHA.

Both FSU and Minnesota State own 38 league points each to date this year and both will be at home this weekend as the Mavericks play host to Michigan Tech. Whichever team picks up the most points this weekend will claim the league's regular-season crown or the two teams would share the title by remaining tied in the conference standings.

This weekend's final regular-season series will also represent "Senior Weekend" as the Bulldogs honor and pay tribute to their five senior student-athletes. The group includes team captain Scott Czarnowczan along with forwards Garrett Thompson, Cory Kane, Andy Huff and Justin DeMartino. They will be introduced prior to their final regular-season home game on Saturday night with a Senior Autograph session and Skate With the Dawgs event after the game.

A special "Buy One Ticket, Get One Free" or BOGO offer is available for this weekend's series until Wednesday (March 5) at 7 p.m. (ET) only or while supplies last. The offer is only valid with the purchase of a $12 ticket and based on availability thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office.

FSU has sold out four home games inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena since the New Year and nearly reached the sellout mark two other times. Overall, FSU has posted 15 sellouts since the second half of the historic 2011-12 season in which FSU reached the Frozen Four and the national championship game.

Fans can purchase advance tickets for the Lake Superior State series while available and save over the normal gameday rates by visiting the FSU Athletics Ticket Office located inside the Ewigleben Sports Complex. Bulldog fans can also purchase all regular-priced tickets in advance 24 hours a day, seven days a week online at StarTickets.com or by calling 1-800-585-3737.

Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (ET) with extended hours this Wednesday until 7 p.m. (ET).

A complete pricing structure, ticket office hours and additional information is available online at FerrisStateBulldogs.com and can be found by visiting the "tickets" tab. All promotional ticket offers are only available in advance thru the FSU Athletics Ticket Office. For additional ticket information, please call (231) 591-2888.

Ferris State and Lake Superior State will face off for the 126th and 127th times this weekend in a series that dates back to 1980. FSU previously swept the Lakers by scores of 5-3 and 3-1 earlier this year on Dec. 6-7 in Sault Ste. Marie. The Lakers are presently tied for seventh place overall in the league standings and battling to clinch a postseason playoff appearance.

Currently, FSU's 23 wins are third-most in the country and the Bulldogs also have the nation's fourth-best winning percentage (.700). Ferris State is presently sixth this week in the PairWise rankings, which help determine the NCAA Tournament field at the end of the season.

Presently, FSU's current 12-1-1 home mark ranks as one of the top showings on home ice in the nation this season and the Bulldogs have yet to drop a conference home contest inside the Ewigleben Ice Arena.

Besides this weekend's home series versus LSSU, the Bulldogs have also clinched home ice for the opening round of the WCHA Playoffs and tickets are currently on sale as well. Ferris State will host an opponent to be determined in a best-of-three series set for March 14-16 with the winner advancing to the WCHA Final Five Championship on March 21-22 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids.
