Ice Surface Back In Place At Ferris State's Ewigleben Ice Arena!

Big Rapids, Mich. - The staff at Ferris State University's Ewigleben Ice Arena has been hard at work this week as the ice has returned inside the home of Bulldog Hockey.

After a month-long shutdown for yearly maintenance and upgrades, the ice surface was reinstalled this week with the traditional Bulldog logo returning at center ice. New advertising spots for the National Guard and the WCHA logo also returned.

The ice annually returns each June in time for the Ferris State University Hockey summer camps, which begin with the first session next week (June 19-23). The Bulldogs will host three weeks of camps at the Ewigleben Ice Arena before wrapping up the summer camp session on July 8.

In addition to the annual camps, various other ice-related activities will also resume with the rink returning to full operation this weekend, including a summer open skate session on Sunday (June 19) from 2-4 p.m. (ET) along with drop-in freestyle skate from 4-5:30 p.m. (ET).
