Ferris State Hockey Changes Game Time For Saturday vs. Alabama Huntsville

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's ice hockey team has announced a game time change to the Saturday, Dec. 14, contest vs. Alabama Huntsville on Salvation Army Teddy Bear Toss Night and the Solid Ice 25th Anniversary Celebration in Big Rapids to 7:37 pm ET.

With the move, Ferris State Hockey also is allowing all students with a football ticket in hand to enter the Dec. 14 game free into the Dawg Pound.

SALVATION ARMY TEDDY BEAR TOSS DETAILS

The final home game of the semester is also currently holding a limited Buy One Get One Free ticket offer on StarTickets.com and at the Ice Arena Box Office. Fans are encouraged to bring a new teddy bear to the game to toss onto the ice when Ferris State scores their first goal against Alabama Huntsville. Bears will be donated by the Salvation Army to children in need this holiday season.

SOLID ICE 25TH ANNIVERSARY DETAILS

Saturday also serves as Solid Ice's 25th Anniversary. Solid Ice will host a post game reception in the concourse, as well as a post game skate with the Dawgs. All fans in attendance are invited to come out and skate with the team after Saturday's contest.

In 1992, Solid Ice was formed in order to preserve and promote Division I hockey at Ferris State as well as other Big Rapids area youth ice activities. Solid Ice helped support the locker room for Ferris State hockey, the 'Be a Playmaker' campaign,' the establishment of a position for a strength and conditioning coach for Ferris State Hockey, and more.

More information on the Solid Ice 25th Anniversary Celebration will be made available this week.

Ferris State takes on the Alabama Huntsville Chargers for the weekend series in Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) play starting on Friday, Dec. 13 at 7:07 pm and concluding Saturday, Dec. 14 with puck drop at 7:37 pm.
