Ferris State Men's Tennis Records Strong Start In First Day Play At Bulldog Invitational

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis team got off to a strong start in day one action at its own Bulldog Invitational on Friday (Sept. 25) at the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center.

The two-day invitational includes a quartet of Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) schools in FSU, Lake Superior State, Hillsdale and Michigan Tech.

Overall, the competitors played three rounds of doubles play and one more in singles action on Friday with additional singles competition taking place on Saturday to wrap up the event.

Ferris State had a strong day as the Bulldogs won all nine singles matches in which they took part. FSU also posted an 11-1 mark in doubles matches against outside competition with several other matches either between two all-Bulldog squads or involving a FSU player teaming up with a player from another school.
