Ferris State Doubles Duo Falls In ITA Midwest Regional Semifinals

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University men's tennis doubles duo of Jan Koupil and Benjamin Lortie wrapped up action in the 2022 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional Championships on Monday (Sept. 19) in Indianapolis.

The Bulldogs' top doubles tandem had won a pair of doubles contests in the main Flight A draw on Sunday to advance to the regional doubles semifinals, but suffered an 8-5 setback to the eventual champions Edgar Destouet and Tom Niklas Zeuch.

A total of 23 schools took part in the Midwest Regional Championships and the duo was one of 32 doubles teams in the field when the event began. The regional championships were hosted by the University of Indianapolis.
