Ferris State Throwers Open Outdoor Track Season For Bulldogs

Big Rapids, Mich. - The Ferris State University women's outdoor track and field squad had a pair of throwers open up outdoor action this past weekend at the Margaret Simmons Invite hosted by Murray State in Murray, Ky.

FSU's Emma Stephayn placed second overall in the discus with a toss of 119-6 while Brianna Copley was fourth (117-10) in the event.

Additionally, Stephayn also earned runner-up honors in the women's hammer throw with a toss of 153-10 on the day.

The Bulldogs are slated to compete next in the Hilltopper Relays on Friday and Saturday, March 31-April 1.
