College: Two-year (2008-09 and 2009-10) letterwinner on Ferris State's women's basketball team.

High School: A two-time (2007-08) all-state first-team selection at Portland High School . . . Graduated in 2008 and was class valedictorian . . . Coached by Jack Anderson . . . Attained honorable mention all-state accolades in 2006 sophomore campaign . . . Earned All-Capital Area Activities Conference, all-region, and all-district honors all four years (2005-08) . . . Earned team Most Valuable Player Award laurels in both 2007 and 2008 . . . Selected the Red Raiders' Outstanding Offensive and Defensive Player three years in a row (2006-08) . . . Served as team captain in 2008 senior season and batted .455 (61-134) with five home runs, nine doubles, seven triples, and 34 RBIs in 45 games . . . Scored 45 runs and had 21 stolen bases while recording a .739 slugging percentage and a .529 on-base percentage in senior campaign . . .
