2010 GLIAC Softball Tournament Opening-Day Games Postponed

This Friday's (May 7) opening-day action for the 2010 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Softball Tournament has been postponed due to an extensive amount of rain and subsequently unplayable field conditions at the Emerson Softball Complex's Currie Stadium in Midland, Mich.

As of this time, the tournament is scheduled to resume this Saturday (May 8) contingent upon the weather and field conditions.  An officials meeting will be held on Saturday around 8 a.m. (EDT) to determine the status of the double-elimination conference postseason tournament. 

Ferris State, the tourney's fourth seed, was slated to begin its league tourney action this Friday (May 7) against the fifth-seed Tiffin Dragons at 12 p.m. (EDT).
